Dear Friends,
Are you, as I am, reading less these days? In my youth, I read everything. And I mean hard cover books, full price – dozens a year. Maybe 1,000 total!
I’m ashamed to say that this year, if I’ve read maybe 15 books, (with half on audiobooks, to make my commute bearable (before I got laid off in April, leaving more time to not read.)

What am I doing instead? Oh, casting spells on enemies, burning furniture for firewood to cut down on utility costs and culling my diet to 2 children’s milkshakes a day at Steak N Shake. Under $10 and 10,000 calories a day.
